"Camo stuck out way too much"
I picked this up for deer season thinking it’d blend in better, but it really didn’t. I don’t know how else to explain it — in the woods, the pattern just looked too bright and kind of flat, like it was sitting on top of everything instead of blending into the trees and brush. My old cheap jacket hides better. Maybe it works in a different area, but where I hunt, it stood out bad. For the price, I expected a lot more

"Surprisingly easy to carry"
I’ve usually stuck with my go-to brand, so I wasn’t sure about trying this, but the pack is really light and moves around super easily. it kind of won me over.

"Did the job, but not exactly easy on the wallet"
I ordered this from Badlands Gear right before a late season hunt, and it got put to the test almost immediately. We had wind, sleet, and wet brush pretty much all day, and to be fair, I stayed dry the whole time. My pack cover also held up better than I thought it would. Shipping was normal, no issues there. I still think the price is a bit hard to swallow, so I’m a little torn, but when the weather got ugly, the gear did what I needed it to do

I had a question about my order, so I sent them a message and wasn’t expecting a quick reply. But they got back to me fast and actually answered exactly what I was asking, if that makes sense. It was super easy and didn’t turn into a bunch of back and forth. Really happy with the support.

"Sizing was pretty much right for me"
I ordered a jacket and a base layer from Badlands Gear, and the sizing was close to what I expected. I usually wear a large, and they both fit well without feeling tight through the shoulders.

The sleeves were a little long on me, but it wasn’t anything that bothered me much. Overall, I’m happy with the fit and would probably just order my normal size again

"Warm but still breathable"
Wore this on a hike and it kept me nice and warm without making me feel all sweaty. Something about it just feels balanced, like it holds heat but still lets you breathe well.

"Actually Comfortable, Weirdly Enough"
The pack fits really well and stays comfy even on longer hikes, which is always a nice surprise because apparently carrying a bunch of stuff on your back doesn’t have to feel terrible.

"Warranty help took longer than I expected"
I don’t know why it took so long to hear back, but they did eventually get it fixed. The warranty support was okay overall, just slower than I would’ve liked.

"Zippers and buckles held up good"
I used my Badlands pack quite a bit this season, it’s held up really well. The zippers still run smooth, and the buckles haven’t cracked, slipped, or given me any trouble. One of the zipper pulls feels a little stiff now and then, but overall, it’s been solid gear.

"I packed it heavy for..."
I packed it heavy for the day and figured it would get annoying fast, but it really wasnt bad at all. The weight felt balanced and I was able to keep going without feeling totally worn out

"My order did show up correctly, so..."
My order did show up correctly, so I’ll give them that, but shipping was slow. What really got annoying was having to deal with repeated verification steps like I was proving myself over and over. Not the worst experience, but definitely more frustrating than it needed to be.

"Still holding up, somehow"
I’ve been rough on this thing and, i keep expecting to find a rip or some stitching coming loose. So far though, nothing. It feels tough and hasn’t given me a reason to complain yet, which almost makes me suspicious.

"Finally, my pack isn’t a mess"
I mean, yeah... this actually keeps my pack sorted. There are a ton of pockets, so everything kind of has its own place now. My calls, snacks, gloves... I can actually find them fast instead of digging around forever

"Solid gear, but the experience felt a bit impersonal"
The gear I got from Badlands Gear feels really solid, so no complaints there. It seems well made and I’m sure it’ll hold up. That said, for the full price, I’m not totally convinced it was worth it for me. The whole buying experience also felt a little impersonal, like I was just another ticket number instead of an actual customer. I’d probably buy again, but I’d wait for a sale next time
